INTRODUCTION TO COMPUTER AIDED DRAWING (48 hours)
1. Specify the computer aided drawing equipment needed to fully utilize AutoCAD.
2. Demonstrate the initialization of AutoCAD.
3. Identify the main sections of the AutoCAD graphic screen.
4. Demonstrate the use of toolbar.
5. Set-up the drawing environment using AutoCAD.
6. Demonstrate the coordinate entry systems present in AutoCAD.
7. Demonstrate the basic drawing commands of AutoCAD.
8. Demonstration on the basic editing commands of AutoCAD.
9. Demonstrate the basic multiple editing commands of AutoCAD.
10. Produce simple drawings using AutoCAD.
11. Apply text to a drawing using AutoCAD.
12. Apply dimensions to a drawing using AutoCAD.

Assessment Scheme
The weighting of the assessments will be as below:
- Test 1 50%
- Test 2 50%
